In its current open letter, ACER takes a position on the publication of inside information. With the letter, ACER seeks to provide clarity for market participants so that they can set priorities in the implementation of Regulation (EU) No. 1227/2011 on Wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency (REMIT).
In the open letter, ACER comments on the following items:
- No deadline extension beyond 1 January 2021 for the disclosure of inside information via an inside information platform (IIP)
- Reports via IIP are effective if the reporting inside information platform (IIP) has successfully passed the first phase of the ACER Assessment.
- Market participants are to use the back-up solution of the IIP if the IIP is not available. Until 31 December 2021, market participants can temporarily report inside information on their own company website if the IIP is not available.
- New validation rules for transport contracts and registration of market participants
